The breakfast was excellent and had a good variety of food items for guests to choose from. The wifi connection was also very smooth and I had no trouble making calls to loved ones during the evening, which was definitely a plus. My room was the perfect size, though some of the furniture is a little big, so I sometimes found myself fumbling around with desk chairs to get to and from the closet; desk and chair were wedged pretty close to the bed as well, with not much clearance between (and mind you, I'm a fairly small person). Everything was extremely comfortable to sit in and rest in however, and the quiet room I requested was—indeed—very quiet! I rested well every night of my stay and was able to wake up early feeling refreshed. The bathroom also came with soap and shampoo, so that definitely came in handy when I'd forgotten some toiletries at home. Housekeeping was also very good and I enjoyed having a fresh set of sheets and towels for each day. I also loved that the location was fairly residential (lots of apartments nearby and with families), so I felt very safe and did not have to worry much about noise. The trams are just a minute's walk away from the hotel as well, so it's very easy to get around the city. That being said, while I used trams everyday, I did have to take the cab to the train station after I checked out—Melli, the receptionist that morning (24/10/22) was extremely helpful and called the taxi for me. Highly recommend staying here. I hope to book with the hotel again in the future.

I arrived late on date requested. Never been to Basel I was nervous and unsure of how to locate the hotel. The manager sent me a well put together directions on which tram to take and when to switch to get to the hotel. I found the hotel even in the dark! They complemented me with an extra space and a glass of champagne to celebrate my birthday. My birthday was August 17. I also appreciated the complimentary pass for touring and traveling in the city. Was able to travel on the tram without extra expense. I received a discount at the tourist office when I bought my ticket to tour the city.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, as we were travelling we didn’t know the area well and the staff were very helpful with directing us to near transport etc. Bathroom was a good size. Not too far from the nearest bus/tram stop. It is ideal to stay where you just want a good nights sleep, where you won’t be staying in the room a lot of the day. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was good, a good selection of food to offer, and open to a reasonable time.

Staff is really nice, you can leave your luggage if you arrive prior to check in time and go explore the city meanwhile. The rooms are small, but that didn’t really bother me. Great view from the window, and the AC worked fine. Location is great! Although it’s not in the city center, there is a bus stop (line 14) really close to the hotel (3 min walk max) that connects you to the center quite easily and the bus also comes very frequently (about every 7 min).

Very close to the 14 tram, which was helpful for getting to the old town, train station and zoo. The shower was really nice, even if the bathroom gets wet when you use it. We were on the 11th floor and the big windows with the view of the city made the room feel bigger. With a baby cot in the room it was very difficult to get around, the rooms are quite small, but adequate. Overall, a decent place which would be overpriced if it hadn’t been in Switzerland.
